Mr Gum and the Goblins is a highly ridiculous and humorous novel from the popular Mr Gum series. The titular anti-hero, Mr. Gum, is the cruelest, dirtiest, and generally most unpleasant man in the fictional town of Lamonic Bibber. In this installment, Mr. Gum and his grumpy accomplice, Billy William the Third, hatch a new, ridiculously evil scheme, likely involving the magical, miniature creatures known as Goblins. It is, as always, up to the kind and determined young girl Polly and her friends—including the heroic nine-foot-tall gingerbread man—to foil the villainous plot, resulting in maximum chaos, silliness, and a whole lot of shouting.
