Freckle Juice is a classic, humorous children's book by Judy Blume. The protagonist, Andrew Marcus, is desperately jealous of his classmate's freckles and is tired of his mother's endless nagging. Andrew pays the class know-it-all, Sharon, fifty cents for her secret recipe for "Freckle Juice". The recipe is predictably disgusting, and the inevitable, chaotic results teach Andrew a gentle lesson about self-acceptance and the absurdity of wanting to be someone else.
