Fantastic Mr. Fox is a delightful story of cunning and wit prevailing over greed and brute force. The tale features the clever Mr. Fox, who nightly raids the farms of three mean, wealthy, and utterly repulsive farmers: Boggis, Bunce, and Bean. Fed up with being stolen from, the three farmers vow to catch Mr. Fox, surrounding his home and forcing him and his family to burrow underground. The story then becomes a thrilling, prolonged siege as the farmers try increasingly desperate measures (digging, bulldozing) to flush the foxes out. Meanwhile, Mr. Fox devises a brilliant, strategic plan to outsmart his enemies by burrowing beneath their farms and stealing a massive feast to share with all the other hungry underground creatures.
