Vespick the Wasp Queen is the thirty-sixth book, and likely a thematic successor or companion to Amictus the Bug Queen. Vespick is a massive, stinging insectoid Beast whose dark magic allows her to command immense, furious swarms of wasps. Tom’s quest is set in an environment where giant nests and relentless stinging attacks are the primary threat. The challenge is fighting a creature that is both physically large and protected by an overwhelming, fast-moving aerial army. Tom must develop a plan to neutralize the Beast’s controlling magic over the swarm before he can get close enough to defeat Vespick herself.
