The Hunger Games is the first novel in Suzanne Collins's bestselling young adult dystopian trilogy. The story is set in the nation of Panem, where the Capitol maintains control by forcing its twelve districts to send one boy and one girl (Tributes) to fight to the death in a televised event called The Hunger Games.
