The BFG (Big Friendly Giant) is a charming and fantastical novel. The story begins when the lonely young orphan girl, Sophie, is snatched from her bed in the dead of night by an enormous giant. She soon discovers that her captor is the BFG, a kind, benevolent giant who refuses to eat humans (like the other, terrible giants do) and instead works to collect and deliver good dreams to children. Sophie and the BFG form an unlikely friendship and embark on a thrilling adventure to enlist the help of the Queen of England to stop the nine gruesome, man-eating giants from consuming the children of the world.
