Prince Caspian is the second published (fourth chronological) novel in The Chronicles of Narnia series. The four Pevensie children—Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy—are pulled back into Narnia, a land they ruled centuries earlier. They discover that only a few years have passed in their time, but 1,300 years have flown by in Narnia. The land is now ruled by the Telmarines, and true Narnians (talking beasts, dwarves, and fauns) have been driven into hiding. The children meet Prince Caspian, the rightful Telmarine heir, who is trying to overthrow his evil uncle, King Miraz. The Pevensies join Caspian to lead a battle for Narnia's freedom, fighting to restore the old magic and glory to the land.
