Jack and Annie are transported to the ancient Roman city of Pompeii in 79 A.D., just before the city is destroyed. Their mission is to find an ancient Roman scroll before the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius. They encounter a confused young resident and experience the daily life of the Roman city, complete with its bustling marketplaces and grand temples. The atmosphere quickly turns ominous as the ground begins to tremble and smoke plumes from the nearby volcano. They must navigate the terrified crowds as the tremors intensify, racing against time to locate the artifact. The adventure is a thrilling, desperate race for survival as they witness the terrifying power of nature. They make a last-minute escape, dodging falling ash and lava, learning about the final moments of the famous, tragic Roman city.
