Maddie the Playtime Fairy is an entry in the Fun Fairies or a related sub-series of Rainbow Magic. Maddie is the magical being responsible for the energy, imagination, and fun of all playtime, ensuring children are creative and happy when they play. When her essential magical item is taken by the boring goblins of Jack Frost, the magic of playtime is lost, causing children to become listless, unable to use their imaginations, and all games to become incredibly dull and uninteresting. The human friends, Rachel Walker and Kirsty Tate, must work with Maddie to locate the missing item, venturing to playgrounds and toy stores to restore the fun and creativity to games everywhere.
